The Gutzy Lifestyle Designer - Tracy Neff

I have a deep passion to ignite the expression of every human being on this planet. We are each born unique. We each have our own brand of expression to contribute to the people in our lives and the larger global community.

I encourage self expression through decorating and design of interior spaces, and creative life coaching/mentoring and teaching. It’s unique, it’s me and it’s fun.

My career began after graduating with both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education degree. I was and always will be fascinated with the inner workings of human beings and all that we deal with emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually throughout our lifetimes. I facilitated evening workshops for women and men to come together and experience themselves at a deeper level of awareness and then to take action to make changes they wanted to make in their lives. I loved seeing and experiencing the “aha” moments and the liberation people experienced after attending these classes.

I also taught for many years in the school system, the teenage years, junior high school. Call me crazy, however, I love this phase of life! Teens are so full of a yearning to express themselves and wanting to be seen, heard and acknowledged for who they are. This is the stage where young people are challenging the status quo and asking us adults of the world if we really believe in what we are teaching them, if we are being truly honest with them. They demand our attention and our presence and our vulnerability. It can be a tumultuous time and it can also be a time of authentic self expression and excitement. Helping teenagers tune into who they really are and what they really want to express in the world is one of my greatest joys and passions.

My passion for decorating and design has always been inside me. I used to re-arrange my bedroom as a teenager on a continuous basis and I painted walls a lot. I still do. I have learned that the spaces we live in are a representation of who we are and who we want to become. Your space should be a great expression of who you are individually and also collectively if you have a family or roommates. It should be beautiful, functional and fun…a piece of living art. You should love coming home and seeing the colour on the walls, the light fixtures, the door handles, the functionality of it all…everything...every piece should be an expression of who you are and what you love and then when it all comes together, it's an original masterpiece, a true expression of you.

I have combined my passions for decorating and design, teaching, and human development to create my business Gutzy Expressions.  These are all avenues, ways to encourage and be part of people expressing themselves fully out into the world.
